The white travertines of Pamukkale are amongst the wonders of the world. Pamukkale is in the province of Denizli, which takes about 3 hours to get there from Dalaman Sarigerme with an Airconditioned Vehicle. This Trip will give you also an insight into the inland landscape of Western Turkey. In Pamukkale, you will have the chance to see the ancient city of Hierapolis, its theatre, Acropolis as well as the famous Cleopatra Pool. The remaining ruins consist of Bazilika, Latrina, Theater, Plutonıum,  Temple of Apollon, Water channels and Nymphaeums, Martyrium Church of St Phıllıp, Church of St. Phıllıp, and great bath complex.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

Pamukkale in Türkiye is often shown in pictures with dazzling white terraces filled with crystal-blue pools. While this can be true at certain times of the year, the reality is not always the same. Depending on the season and water flow, the cascades may look grey and less appealing than the photos suggest.

If you plan to visit Pamukkale, it’s worth doing so mainly if you have a strong interest in history. The true highlight of the site is the ancient city of Hierapolis, with its impressive ruins, theatre, and historical significance. The travertine terraces are beautiful, but they should be seen as an additional experience rather than the main reason for the trip.
